The team has been hard at work getting everything lined up and we have some big news: Custom Hobo is participating in Steam Next Fest!

Our homemade game and engine is inspired by the customization and arena brawling of classics like Custom Robo, Happy Wheels, Super Meat Boy, and Garry’s Mod. We can’t wait for you to build your own unique creations, tear through levels with your crew, and work together to take down the M.A.N.

At its core, Custom Hobo is all about gathering your friends for a silly, unpredictable couch co-op gaming session. Expect total physics-driven chaos, dynamic body modifications, and the pure, absurd joy of bodily destruction as you smash your way through platforming missions. Build and share custom levels using the built-in level editor and Steam Workshop integration.

Important Dates: Steam Next Fest & Early Access

Mark your calendars. Steam Next Fest goes from October 19 to 26th, 2026. The demo goes live for everyone. The free demo includes:

  • 5 Action-Packed Missions: Test your platforming and brawling skills.
  • 3 Customizable Hobo Jobs: Swap parts and tailor your builds.
  • “Super Smash ‘Bos” PvP Mode: Take a break from co-op and fight your friends head-to-head.
  • Built-In Level Editor: Build your own custom maps and share your creations with friends, and us!

Our Early Access Release is set for December 2026. Going into Early Access gives us the opportunity to listen to player feedback, iterate on gameplay mechanics, and work together to make this the best, most chaotic brawler it can possibly be. We value and welcome your input!
